Hope for Multiplication
As we continue to explore church partnerships, we have found that God has given us some unique opportunities at our home churches! Our teammate, Kim, was asked by her pastor if she would start mentoring “Dasha”, a new believer that was looking for some spiritual direction.

Kim was delighted to serve her church and pastor in this way. Things happened quickly as Dasha is already actively involved in sharing her faith with her friends through “girl parties,” and she invited Kim to come along to her last party. This is when Kim met “Sasha”, who three days after the evangelistic party accepted Christ through Dasha’s influence in her life! As you can imagine this was a huge praise for our team and for Kim as spiritual multiplication has been our top priority this semester. We’re always excited when God shows us where He’s working and let’s us join Him! Praise HIM!
The Gathering of Timothies
A mature disciple is one who walks by faith, communicates his faith, and multiplies his faith for a lifetime. This is who Paul had in mind in 2 Timothy 2:2 when he challenges Timothy to take what he has learned and entrust it to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

This is spiritual multiplication and this was the goal of our “Timothy Gathering” last Saturday. Our hope was to fill our room with “Timothies” and to challenge them to reach out to others around them through evangelism and discipleship. We had 15 students from various universities and backgrounds gathered together and they received a wonderful challenge from our guest speaker, Oleg Shevkun.

Oleg is a highly respected speaker and pastor in Moscow who has a huge heart for students and student ministry. He has been a big advocate for New Life and for the evangelization of university campuses. Oleg, along with his helper Masha Sergeytsova, helped to engage the students with the idea that they have been blessed by God to be a blessing to others. Masha, who is Liz’s disciple, also did a great job emphasizing the need to get to know and to reach out to fellow classmates with love, compassion and the hope of Jesus Christ. All in all, we were pleased with the attendance at our meeting and the concrete challenge that each person walked away with. Please continue to pray for students like Lyosha, Kristina, Masha, Leah and others as they grow in their faith and multiply their faith into the lives of others.
