Is there joy in a sacrifice?

Last week at the English Café in the RGGY dorms, we had a special movie night.  Yana and Kristina wanted to show a short-film called “Most”, which is the English transliteration of the word bridge in Czech and Russian. This movie is a Czech short-film with an Easter theme of a father giving his son's life so that others may live. We managed to get a projector and 13 of us in their little dorm room to watch this powerful film. Here is a condensed clip on YouTube, which will explain it better than I can.

Every person in that room was moved by the sacrifice made. One thing that stands out to me about this film and something we talked a lot about, was that all the people on the train did not know they were headed for disaster and also did not know that someone intervened to save them. There was only one girl who saw the sacrifice made and turned her life around because of it. When we were discussing this part, I asked the question if they would want to know if someone had died so that they could live. Each one of them said yes, so we talked about how Christ died for all people so that they may live a full life in Him.

Please be praying that we can continue these conversations with these students there last night.

Three years

ago, we had a

vision

to explore and evaluate 90 of the 250 campuses in the city and to see student leaders on 9 of these campuses by the end of the spring semester in 2009.

Three years ago, this team above dreamed of what it would look like to see movements for Christ at universities all over the city.

Since then many have taken part in making this dream of 90 by '09 and 9 by '09 become a reality. For this to happen, we knew that we would need to pray in faith that God would lead us to the campuses where He is working.

We as the Moscow (MOCT) Team want to thank you who have come over these last three years and have prayed and served with us to trust God to do the miraculous. We know God prepared in advance these good works that we have walked in because we are His workmanship.

We are now close to finishing this goal.  We have now visited, prayed over, and talked with students from almost 90 universities. At the end of this week our team will celebrate coming to the end of this goal!   Please pray for us as we finish this goal, and praise the Lord for what He has done at these campuses!
